Our water-based physiotherapy involves one-on-one hydrotherapy sessions with a physiotherapist, with documented evidence suggesting that the therapeutic benefits of water therapy complement traditional land-based approaches, facilitating a smooth transition from aquatic to terrestrial exercises.
Hydrotherapy imparts therapeutic and resistive effects on muscle strength, length, and motor control, serving as a supplementary element to land-based treatments. The water medium is recognised for empirically enhancing strength, fitness, balance, motor control, and functional independence for infants, children, adolescents and young adults 0-18+
Physiotots provides and conducts regular hydrotherapy sessions on Thursdays at Core Fitness Somerville and Fridays at The Swim Factory, with term bookings available. Additionally, individual hydrotherapy sessions at alternative aquatic locations can be arranged through consultation with the therapist, albeit subject to travel fees, which are discussed prior to the first appointment.
