Physiotots Paediatric Physiotherapy was established in the year 2000 by Myffanwy Adkin, Director and Physiotherapist of Physiotots. Physiotots is a family centred practice, working closely with children and their families to reach their maximal functional potential in a nurturing and safe environment.
Director and Paediatric Physiotherapist
Myff has worked in Paediatrics for almost 25 years, with 23 years in private practice establishing Physiotots in the year 2000. Myff is passionate about improving the quality of children’s lives and has extensive experience across all ages and all complex conditions. Myff has a special interest in neurological and neuromuscular impairment, nonetheless, manages all conditions ranging from developmental delay to end of life care.
As a leading therapist in Assistive Technology, Myff is highly skilled in prescribing all types and complexities of assistive devices including wheelchairs, high low chairs, standing frames, walkers, bathing and bed supports for children’s ADL’s in promotion of access, inclusion and participation within the home, school and community. She has a long and reputable collaboration with many companies across Australia, a feat she is proud of with the changing times over the years.
A graduate of Lincoln, Latrobe University, Myff continues to be a passionate mentor for up-and-coming students of Physiotherapy, mentoring and supervising students and new graduates in Paediatrics from Monash, Melbourne, Latrobe and Federation Universities.
Furthermore, Myff currently lectures at Federation University, Melbourne, in Paediatric Physiotherapy, developing the current paediatric units for our upcoming therapists of the future. She further provides master classes through Monash University in various specialties. In 2020, she established Launchteam.com.au with colleagues from Peninsula Speech Plus, a unique program for graduates across all allied health streams (PT, OT and ST) in Paediatrics.
Personally, Myff is a proud mother of two big kids, Katya and Soren. Katya has followed into the healthcare realm currently studying OT at Monash University, with Soren a keen performer completing VCE. She is supported and grounded by her husband Nige, who shares a passion for the outdoors, health and fitness. As keen travelers, together they hope to continue to explore Australia’s amazing coastlines along with the world as time permits.

Ada is passionate physiotherapist dedicated to growing strong little bodies and empowering families with the knowledge and tools to support their child’s physical and emotional well-being. With Ada, therapy sessions are not only evidence based and highly effective, but also bursting with excitement and sparkles, whether in the therapy room, hydrotherapy pool or out in the community. With a background in competitive swimming, 5+ years of experience as a qualified AUSTSWIM teacher and DMI Level A qualified, Ada brings a wealth of expertise to her practice. Ada is a dynamic force, actively advocating for all abilities sports, inclusive playgrounds and accessible community spaces in her local council. When she is not in the clinic transforming lives, you’ll find Ada strolling the beach with her Chow Chow Koko sipping on an oat milk latte with a touch of honey. She’s also an expert stand up paddleboarder, a lover of travel, a farmers market enthusiast and an avid explorer of Kmart’s sensory isles. Physiotherapist
Shania Scott is a qualified physiotherapist – a graduate of Monash University. She has a passionate interest in paediatric physiotherapy. Having worked extensively with children of all ages for more than a decade while coaching gymnastics and swimming, she has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the requirements to emotionally and physically support patients and their families while maximizing successful outcomes. In her spare time she is a cheerleader but also likes to craft, swim, and more recently has begun to enjoy fun runs!
Allied Health Assistant
Katya is currently completing Honors in Occupational Therapy (OT) at Monash University, and is passionate about making kids lives better. Katya currently works within all Physiotots groups as an Allied Health Assistant (AHA)t as well as working 1:1 with children in the home setting to carry out their home programs, working towards functional independence in their activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, toileting and feeding. Katya brings with her constant joy , happiness and fun, to all of the children with whom she works. She also brings with her 17 years of dance experience under May Downs, and is a qualified dance teacher, having attained her Diploma of Dance under the CSTD in 2022. A room is always brighter with Katya in it, nurturing the wellbeing of many of the children who attend Physiotots for therapy services.
